_DSC0525San Antonio has great shopping malls scattered around the city. For instance, La Cantera located northwest of San Antonio, The Rim which is about 5 minutes from La Cantera, North Star Mall with the world famous Giant Texas boots, The Forum at Olympia Parkway, Village at Stone Oak located north of the city, Rivercenter in downtown, and the Alamo Quarry Market.

La Cantera

La Cantera is probably tied with North Star Mall for most popular mall in San Antonio. And with good reason to. La Cantera is known for its outdoor setting and shops for all price ranges. From Neiman Marcus to H&M you will find whatever you’re looking for here. Also, it’s worth visiting the mall for the restaurants alone. Visit website.

The Rim

The Rim is located right beside La Cantera. While you may be wondering why there are two malls right next to each other they don’t really compete. They complement each other very nicely. The Rim has stores like Best Buy and Bass Pro Shop. There are also quite a bit of restaurants to choose from. The Rim is also home to my personal favorite movie theater, Santikos Palladium IMAX. Visit website.

North Star Mall

Home to the largest cowboy boots and only ten miles from downtown San Antonio and two miles from the airport, North Star Mall is your one stop shop. With over 200 specialty stores and restaurants you won’t ever get bored in this mall. Visit website.

Located northeast of highway 281 by the upscale JW Marriott Hill Country Resort, TPC Golf Course, and Lady Bird Johnson High School. The Village at Stone Oak is great for spending time with friends or family. Whether you want to watch a movie and eat at the Alamo Draft House or go grocery shopping at Target you can’t go wrong with this mall. Visit Facebook page.

Alamo Quarry Market

The Alamo Quarry Market is a lifestyle center located in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of north central San Antonio in the U.S. state of Texas, near the cities of Alamo Heights and Terrell Hills.
