Looking for a school to send your child or yourself to can be challenging for everyone. I’ll be using a list provided by Start Class for the top colleges and universities in San Antonio based on SAT scores.
Trinity University focuses on small classes for a close relationship between student and faculty members. They emphasize real world experience in their curriculum and was ranked number one in the 2016 edition of Best Colleges Regional Universities. Also, with about 2,299 students, over 100,000 annual hours of giving back to the community, and 117 acres of land that feature engaging events held regularly.
2)St. Mary’s University
St. Mary’s University is a Catholic Marianist university founded in 1852. The university excels in liberal arts and is a small university with a student faculty ratio of 12/1 for small, active classes. Also, St. Mary’s University is the first fair trade-certified university in Texas.
3)The University of Texas at San Antonio
The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is one of the largest universities with about 28,700 undergrad and grad students. UTSA was established in 1969 and has 162 degree programs. Their cyber security and medical departments are quickly becoming one of the bests in the nation.
4)University of the Incarnate Word
University of the Incarnate Word is inspired by Judeo Christian values, the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, and Catholic Social Teaching. They aim to educate their students who will become concerned and enlightened citizens within the global community. The university is 154 acres and close to the downtown area. They’re in the Alamo Heights area with fun attractions such as the San Antonio Zoo and a couple museums.
5)Our Lady of the Lake University
Our Lady of the Lake University is a Catholic community with a faith in a Provident God. Our Lady of the Lake aspires to be nationally recognized for their distinctive programs and Mexican American culture. The popular majors at Our Lady of the Lake are Business Administration and Management, Communication Sciences and Disorders, and Social Work.
